Things are tough out there! You know it and I know it. So what are you planning to do to help get your martial arts school or business moving in the right direction. During the Great Depression many Millionaires were created. Why? Because they saw opportunity in the devastation.

What are you thinking about right now when it comes to your business? Are you sitting worrying about what you need to do. Well worry won't help, but ACTION will.

Has your target market changed? Depending on were your school is located it could very well have. Over the holiday's I took a real hard look at what is going on in the economy and the reasons why it was happening. This led me to understand how my target market has changed and WHY.

The problem with most martial arts school owners is they believe they are in the business of teaching martial arts. As Michael Gerber says in his book E-Myth, most businesses are started by technicians who are suffering from an Entrepreneurial Seizure. So, let me ask you, did you start training in martial arts because you wanted to be a school owner, or did you start training in martial arts because you wanted to be a martial artist and black belt? Guess what if you are like me you were suffering from an Entrepreneurial Seizure. I was convinced that I could do it better then my instructor. I soon found out how hard it really was.

What does all this mean? You need to become a business Black Belt. Again I ask do you know who your target market is, where they are living, how old their children are, what is their income, and why this is changing? If you don't you better find out fast.

At my school we will have a better January than we did in both 2007 and 2008. How and why? For all the reasons above.

I will be discuss who your new target market is in great detail with my email coaching students. My target may not be theirs, but the steps must be made to find out exactly who we need to market too!
